Abu Dhabi eyes Australia

Mohammed Thani Murshid Al-Rumaithi, Chairman of the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), and Chairman of the Board of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and Ambassador of the UAE to Australia, Obaid Al Heri Al Ketbi, have met to discuss ways of promoting economic cooperation and trade between the UAE and Australia through more active communications between the business community of both countries.

During the meeting, they also discussed a proposal to establish a UAE-Australian business council to strengthen the role of Emirati companies in the country’s sustainable social and economic development and future plans.

Al Rumaithi noted that the unprecedented urban development and economic growth in the emirate of Abu Dhabi opens the door wide for Australian companies to set up joint projects and partnerships.

The ADCCI, he added, works hard to empower the growth of the private sector and is ready to put its capabilities and experience at the service of Australian businesses and investors planning to benefit from the emirate’s investment opportunities.
