According to a new study (conducted by a web portal), Egypt?s pop singer Amr Diab is the richest Arab pop star in the Arab world. The 49 year old singer and composer is also the best selling Arab artist of all times, with 50 million albums sold worldwide. He has released 25 studio albums, worked with 14 international artists in collaboration and has his songs featured in movies. It is learnt that a huge part of his fortune is from his music tours in the Middle East, Australia, US and Europe.
Nancy Ajram and Elissa take the second and third place followed by Amr Diab. Ajram is believed to have earned $36.3 million (in the last decade alone); with Elissa having $35 million. The pop stars? wealth is credited to the phenomenal DVD sales and live albums, plus a number of lucrative sponsorship deals.
