The latest statistics unveiled show that the Arabian Travel Market generated business deals worth $2 billion at its annual event in May 2014.
According to the research conducted by Reed Travel Exhibitions, London, the annual Arabian Travel Market (ATM) event that is held in Dubai every May, hosted more than 2,700 exhibitors and witnessed about 23,500 visitors in 2014 and about $2.1 billion business deals were inked.
The next edition of ATM, scheduled to be held from May 4-7, 2015, will be based on the theme of “family centric travel”. According to statistics, family travel accounted for more than 12.5% of the $1.7 trillion global tourism market.
A part of the World Travel Market (WTM), the ATM, primarily has four business-to-business events. These events generated revenue worth $6.5 billion.

The World Travel Market is an annual event held in London. The 35th edition of this three-day event kick started today on this positive note about Arabian Travel Market.
London has been a witness to some of the biggest travel deals. Such as, in 2013, the London-based West End Theatre ticket company Encore signed a $8.3-million contract and tour board Andalucia inked deals with as many as five tour operators in one day.
News is awaited about the newly launched editions of WTM Latin America and Africa.
