Following the footsteps of Dubai- which traditionally have been a haven for foodies- casual dining in Abu Dhabi is on the rise, as a German Doner Kebab survey reveals. Abu Dhabi residents are spending on average AED 80 to 120 on each visit. This figure is an increase of 50% from the last year.
According to a recent report by Euromonitor, the number of F&B outlets in the UAE is expected to double in the next four years.
The survey also revealed that residents eat at mall food courts at least once a week on average, with some residents dining at the food courts six times a month.
The survey conducted over a period of two months, also shows that Abu Dhabi residents like a variety of casual dining experiences.
The survey took into consideration food preferences, and Indian food seemed to be the most popular with all residents, Arabic food came in a close second, followed by American fast food, Asian and continental.
