The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has ordered closure of the famous hotel chain, Chilis branch in Abu Dhabi. The action has been taken following an inspection at the restaurant.
It was found during the inspection that the restaurant was violating several rules and regulations set by the emirate?s food safety governing body. It is found that the hygienic condition of the place was unacceptable and the authority demanded immediate closure in the interest of public health.
Lack of commitment of the staff to cover their heads in the preparation area, storing cooking equipment in an electrical room and overflowing sewage pipes in the cooking areas were some of the noted problems of the restaurant.
The restaurant will remain closed until all violations were rectified.
