Leading retail management enabler to get more space from Virgin Megastore outlets in UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.
CompuMe bags ‘Retailer In-store Experience of the Year’ award at ME Retail Awards 2013.
CompuMe, the leading retail management enabler in the Middle East, is looking to fully utilize its innovative ‘shop-in-shop’ (SIS) concept in a bid to bolster an expansion initiative that aims to strengthen its market presence and reach out to a wider customer base. The move is expected to consolidate CompuMe’s partnerships with Virgin Megastore and Carrefour Market outlets. The expansion also proves to be timely as Virgin Megastore has announced its provision for an additional space across its branches in the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.
The company has also revealed that they have recently bagged the ‘Retailer In-store Experience of the Year’ award at this year’s edition of the Middle East Retail Academy 2013 (MERA), which was held recently in Abu Dhabi.
According to CompuMe management, the planned expansion is expected to help drive in more customers to its ‘shop-in-shop’’ outlets in Virgin Megastores and Carrefour Market outlets across the UAE and the rest of the region. The introduction of shop-in-shop concept has successfully resulted in 40 percent growth Year-on-Year (YoY), prompting Virgin Megastores to add additional floor space for CompuMe across branches in Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Mall, Deira City Centre, Mercato, Burjuman, Mirdiff City Centre, Abu Dhabi Mall and Al Wadda Mall. The expanded concept will also be applied in Virgin Megastore outlets in Villagio Mall and Landmark Mall in Qatar and Bahrain City Centre. CompuMe’s diverse product portfolio includes leading brands like Blackberry, TecMobile, Nokia, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Samsung, Canon and Nikon.

The ‘Retailer In-store Experience of the Year’ Award is based on nomination packs submitted by individual retailers. Prior to the awards night, a VIP Jury selected a shortlist of finalists and later picked an overall winner for the category. The award recognizes Middle East ICT & CE retailers and individuals who have excelled during the past year.
