Imagine yourself lying on the lush green of a secluded polo estate, sipping on a cool beverage as you watch the sun set over the dunes. You look to your right and see the tall palm trees against the stretch of the desert behind, as a herd of horses glide through the landscape — their smooth bodies glistening under the remnants of the sun.

It may sound like an epilogue from an adventure novel but in reality this is the ultimate retreat, Per AQUUM’s luxury Dubai-based, Desert Palm, which has been voted the “Leading Boutique Hotel in the UAE” at the prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA).

Known as the Oscars of the Travel Industry, the WTA took place on the 12th of May 2013, and was attended by travel executives from all over the globe.

The award highlights the exceptional performance of the hotel in the first half of this year. The milestones achieved by Desert Palm during this period includes additions to its line-up, two new Polo Villas, The Polo Bar and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

“Winning the accolade of the UAE‘s Leading Boutique Resort is a great endorsement of our success and a reflection of our ongoing dedication to excellence. In the last 12 months alone Desert Palm has enhanced it’s overall offering with the opening of our new conference facility, The Polo Rooms, a revitalised spa and fitness centre plus additional luxury accommodation in the form of our private Polo Villas. This industry recognition comes at an exciting time for Desert Palm and is the start of things to come.” — Mr. James Reeves, General Manager of Desert Palm

Along with the dramatic landscape, the Desert Palm boasts of 38 designer suites, the renowned LIME Spa, a stunning infinity pool, two bars and two award winning restaurants.
