Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 26, 2012:- His Excellency Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice Chairman, DP World, received at Jebel Ali Port, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, and his accompanying delegation.
During their talks, they explored ways of enhancing cooperation between the General Directorate and DP World, UAE Region. The meeting was attended by Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World UAE Region, Mahmood Amin, CEO, World Security and Group Security, Mohammed Ali Ahmed, Chief Operating Officer, DP World UAE Region, Mohammed Al Mannaei, Director – Port Rashid, DP World, UAE Region, among other DP World officials..
Major General Al Murri and his accompanying delegation toured DP World’s flagship port and inspected the advanced technology-driven facilities, including the next-generation Control Room in theoperationsTowerthat supervises, coordinates and controls the execution of all port activities, from vessel berthing to labour deployment, with its 360 degree intelligence view of the sprawling port.
The UAE Region management briefed the visitors on the capacity expansion projects currently under way, as well as the systems integration that enables the port operator to provide world class operations, safety and security standards.
Welcoming Major General and his accompanying delegation, His Excellency Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice Chairman, DP World, said:
