This is the division’s first campaign since it rebranded itself from Etihad Crystal Cargo to Etihad Cargo more than one year ago.

The campaign will run across 24 countries through print and digital media advertising channels, especially the cargo trade press.

“The world is our business. Let us take care of yours.”

The new campaign has been created by M&C Saatchi, Etihad Airways’ global creative agency. The new advertising campaign would focus on the brand line, background of the freight forwarder, and services and routes catered by Etihad Cargo. It will complement Etihad Airways’ global brand campaign, which was launched earlier this year. Growing competition in the Gulf airline industry has forced carriers to attractively position their services to win over customers.

David Kerr; The new Etihad Cargo campaign has its DNA in the Etihad Airways’ global brand campaign which launched back in February, and how that essence extends into cargo. The personal service, our growing network, significant bellyhold and maindeck capacity, an expanded product portfolio – this is about demonstrating that Etihad Cargo has the flexibility and capability to meet and exceed customer needs, whilst demonstrating that we are a global player.” — David Kerr, Etihad Airways vice president Etihad Cargo

Etihad Cargo is aggressively launching new destinations and adding capacity on routes to meet growing business requirements. Starting in June, Etihad Cargo’s freighter fleet of nine aircraft will add capacity from Abu Dhabi to Benghazi, Dhaka, Frankfurt, Guangzhou and Khartoum. Another weekly route to Riyadh and Vienna will also be launched shortly. Etihad Cargo network will, then serve a total of 89 destinations across the globe.

“Established in 2004, Etihad Cargo is the fast growing cargo division of Etihad Airways. From its hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Etihad Cargo offers its customers a range of cargo services linked to its expanding international route network and aircraft fleet.

The cargo division operates a fleet of eight dedicated cargo aircraft consisting of one Boeing 747-8F, three Boeing 777-200F, two Airbus A330-200F, one Boeing 747-400F, one Boeing 747-400ERF that fly on scheduled services to Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Etihad Cargo will take delivery of two additional freighters in 2013 and 2014, comprising two Airbus A330-200F.” — Etihad Cargo website
