Dubai, having well established as the favourite holiday destination and shopping paradise, has set their ambitions to get into the growing fashion scene – which is only a natural choice for the ever-ambitious city.

With events both large and small taking place around Dubai, there is something for even the choosiest of fashionistas.

Zahra Lyla Pedlam, editor of fashion blog, said, “With a new generation of Emirati women, the taste level in Dubai’s fashion scene has changed dramatically. Women are now open to more contemporary designers with minimalistic pieces and are being adventurous with their selections – it is more about how you are wearing it than who you are wearing.”

Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience – Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience will bring together an unprecedented 250 fashion brands in an extended retail and lifestyle celebration at The Dubai Mall on 10th October elevating the city’s stature as one of the top international style destinations.

Participating stores will have various items for sale, created especially for the ‘Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience’ with part of the proceeds going towards Dubai Cares, the charity initiative founded by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Mrs. Franca Sozzani, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia, said, “I have been working in fashion for more than 25 years and met many designers. I can say there is true talent in the region and I am excited to see more during the mentoring sessions I will be giving in the run-up to the event.”
