A leading mobile services provider in Saudi Arabia, Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) is providing its subscribers with free internet access over Ramadan.
The package is called ?Connect Laptop?, and it offers the subscribers with free internet access over the holy month from 4 a.m. to 7p.m. As soon as new subscribers obtain their subscription they can take advantage of the offer. Old subscribers can do the same by paying a small extra premium.
High-speed mobile broadband service is available to any Mobily customer using a device that supports HSPA/HSPA+ technology. The service is available in 93 percent of all populated areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Earlier this year, Mobily cut its Internet prices, reducing the 2 GB bundle to SR60 and the 5 GB to SR100.
The company is now, preparing for the launch of LTE (Long Term Evolution), also known as 4G, has more than 2.3 million customers subscribed to Mobily’s three high-volume mobile broadband bundles.
Mobily?s monthly traffic, inclusive of uploads and downloads in 2010 reached up to 80 terabytes from 50 terabytes the previous year. The GSM World Association described the service provider as the busiest mobile data network on the planet.
