Getty Images, one of the world’s leading creators and distributors of visual content and other digital media, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Master Delegate, Gallo Images Middle East. Alongside Photolibrary, acquired by Getty Images in 2011, the two businesses will be consolidated to create Getty Images Middle East.
As one of Getty Images’ master delegates, Gallo Images Middle East has been the primary distributor of Getty Images’ wholly owned creative and editorial content to the Middle Eastern market since 2005 and has been a key contributor to Getty Images’ success in the fast-growing region. The acquisition will offer customers in the Middle East an expanded and simplified service, by providing access to even more high quality and relevant content than ever before, all in one place.

Getty Images Middle East will serve customers in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen through a central office in Dubai.
