Global App Summit Dubai 2013 takes place at the Ritz Carlton DIFC in Dubai from June 4-5

The momentum for Global App Summit (Ritz Carlton DIFC Dubai, June 4-5), the biggest mobile app conference in the Middle East, has reached a crescendo. Summit organisers announced Samsung as a diamond sponsor and Emax as a gold sponsor. Osman Sultan, chief executive officer, Du will be inaugurating the summit and will bestow awards to the App Idol contest winners.

This first-ever app exhibition will celebrate the power of mobile app technology with enthusiastic and passionate mobile app companies, developers, entrepreneurs, experts, venture capitalists and students. With several keynote sessions, an exhibition and a developer pitch zone, the summit will foster the sharing of ideas, build networking opportunities and entertain attendees with a unique ‘first’ — a concert orchestrated on tablets.

The event provides a platform to the businesses, consumers, companies, individual developers and the public to gather and share the latest mobile app technologies. The exciting event will focus on areas of apps like gaming, HTML5, entertainment, banking, enterprise, Android world, lifestyle, health apps, media, social causes, and Arabic apps.

Entries to the App Idol contest have surpassed expected numbers and the contest closes on May 27th. Submissions can be made on the website and the categories include: Arabic app, healthcare & education, retail, gaming, entertainment and media.

The summit takes place at the Ritz Carlton DIFC in Dubai from June 4-5.
