Intersec, the annual congregation of safety and security professionals from around the world, will be the most looked forward to event in the 2012 calendar, with 900 exhibitors expected next year.
As the world’s foremost trade exhibition outside of Europe, it features security conferences, workshops, live SWAT demonstrations, the UAE International FireFit Championships and much more.
Global player Siemens has signed up to exhibit at Intersec 2012 as part of the dedicated Fire & Rescue section located in Halls 7 and 8. Siemens will showcase their latest products related to fire detection and prevention and will be amongst a wide array of other majors in the fire & rescue sector such as Naffco, Sffeco, Rapidrop, Dupont, Bristol, Underwriters Laboratories, Cooper, Al Arabia Safety & Security, Scott Health & Safety, Komtes, Teknoware, LPG, UAE Civil Defence, Bauer Kompressoren, LPCB, Akron Brass, Hochiki America, Kentec, Eurofunk, Apollo Fire, Firetrace, Fike, Mavili, Arasca Medical, Olympia Electronics, Sibca, FirePro and many more.
Homeland Security & Policing is one of the key sections of Intersec, and it has been extended for the 2012 show following the continued growth of the sector in the region. According to one of the local surveys, the UAE’s spending for homeland security products is currently marked at USD 5.5 bn, and it is forecasted to double in the next 10 years.
The Intersec show is due to take place from January 15th to 17th, 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, in Dubai,United Arab Emirates, and is organised by the Messe Frankfurt team.
The exhibition reflects growing global interest in safety and health, commercial security, homeland security and policing, and fire and rescue related issues. Intersec 2012 will be building on its reputation as the most significant networking event for safety and security professionals in the Middle East.

Intersec trade fair and conference 2011 welcomed a record 21,626 trade only visitors registering a 13% increase on last year’s figures. Occupying 8 halls and the Pavilion at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the exhibition featured over 800 exhibitors, a 25% increase in terms of space booked on the previous year’s edition.
