Jazeera Airways, the largest carrier flying out of Kuwait tops in operational performance and continue to lead in market shares on all major routes it operates. The company secured a month-on-month lead in market share since July 2009 and attributes it to the quality of services it offered to its customers with great schedules and high on-time performance.

Total people travelled in April 2010 were 86,420 passengers. Out of which 26,375 passengers travelled between Kuwait and the Levant region, 18,601 passengers travelled between Kuwait and Egypt, 37,416 passengers travelled between Kuwait and other Gulf countries, and 4,028 passengers travelled between Kuwait and other destinations.

The airways continued to have the largest market share on all routes it operated between Kuwait and the Levant region. It had 38 percent market share on the Kuwait-Beirut route, 36 percent market share on the Kuwait-Amman route, 50 percent market share on the Kuwait-Damascus route, 100 percent market share on both the Kuwait-Aleppo and Kuwait-Deir Ezzor routes, 44 percent market share on the Kuwait-Alexandria route, 67 percent market share on the Kuwait-Assiut route, 88 percent on the Kuwait-Luxor route, and 43 percent market share on the Kuwait-Sohag route. The airline further launched ten more flights to Egypt. The airline was also the largest Kuwaiti operator to Bahrain with 21 percent market share, and to Dubai with 18 percent market share.

The airlines, which operates to 18 different destinations, is the winner of Arabian Business Magazine’s ‘Best in Aviation 2010’ award and the Gold Winner of Magnum Opus 2010 awards.
