In the wake of the series of horrific earthquakes that struck Nepal earlier this year, ten associates of Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre and Le Meridien Fairway have been presented a cheque of US$ 5,000 each from The Starwood Associate Relief Fund, Inc. (SARF).

The associates who received the grant are mainly from the Food & Beverage teams and all of them lost their home, while some grieving the colossal loss of near and dear ones.

The Starwood Associate Relief Fund, Inc. (SARF) was established by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. to provide need-based financial grants to its associates from all its managed and franchised hotel operations who have suffered significantly as a result of a natural disaster or other emergency hardship situation.

“We cannot imagine the personal grief of our Nepalese co-workers. If we can help ease the situation slightly, it is our honour. We pray for the recovery of our associates, their families and the nation”. Says Shaun Parsons, Complex General Manager Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre/Le Meridien Fairway.
