Rumours are rife that former coach of Argentina football team, Diego Maradona has been negotiating with Dubai?s Al Wasl, and is all set to be their new manager, according to reports on Sunday. The result of ongoing talks between the Dubai football club and the 50-year old Argentina player is said to come out by Monday. If speculations are to be believed, he is expected to sign a 2-year deal with the club. ?When attacked with questions by reporters while shopping in the Dubai Mall, he refused to comment.
The 1986 World Cup winner has been out of coaching since he lost his position as Argentina coach following the last World Cup, where the team failed to make it to the semi-finals.
Al Wasl is a football club based in Dubai, and has the highest number of played matches in UAE football history. It is currently ranking fourth in the domestic league and has been looking for a coach since firing Sergio Farias in March.
