The early childhood development at Masterminds Education boosts children’s learning experience and outcomes
Education ideally starts from a very young age and, in the UAE, many children make their first foray into it by attending a nursery. The favorable demand for Masterminds Education has led the global experts in early childhood development to announce an expansion programme that will see it operating in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and across the broader Middle East region.
“The UAE is placing an increased focus on quality education. Parents understand that early learning is one of the smartest investments they can make to ensure a successful future for their children. With the growth in the number of young children in the UAE and the increase in demand for Masterminds Education, expansion into Dubai and the other Emirates was a natural progression.”
Based on over 60 years of research and practical application of sophisticated learning methodologies, developed and tested worldwide, Masterminds Education’s programmes offer children, between the ages of eighteen months and six years, a superior grasp of reading, maths, knowledge, language immersion (English, French and Arabic), music (Playing the Violin), physical (Gymnastics and Swimming) and social development. Research indicates that more than 90 per cent of the child’s brain growth is completed by age three. In addition to this, the first six years of a child’s life are critical for development. According to the research, the experiences children have in these years help shape the adults they will become. Furthermore, studies show that children who receive quality early education enter school with better maths, language and social skills.
Speaking on the sidelines of a back-to-school extravaganza, Tania Siddiqi, Director of Masterminds Education said, “0 – 6 years is when the brain is developing at the most rapid rate, hence this is the most critical period of opportunity for a child’s intellectual, physical and social development. Not only can young children learn anything, but they are more adept to learn during the first 6 years of life than they will be at any other stage, and what they learn at this age will stay with them for the rest of their life. The ability of a child is a product of stimulation and opportunity, not of a preset alarm clock or a predetermined genetic design, and this stimulation should happen deliberately – not by accident. Most importantly, children would rather learn than do anything else – as long as the process is joyous and operates at the pace of the child.”
Masterminds Education kick-started a new season with a back-to-school carnival that engaged parents, teachers and students under one roof. The school campus was filled with avariety of engaging activities , including a petting zoo, curiosity science lab, magic show, acrobats, jugglers and more. . There was a serious motivation behind the light-hearted activity planned on the institution’s ground.
“It’s an outreach to the community and a way to introduce our parents and children to the staff at our school. It is our biggest outreach,” said Ms. Siddiqi. “At Masterminds, children experience the world at their fingertips, which aligns with our preschool program goals. Our preschool programs are filled with investigation, exploration and discovery, where active and enthusiastic children can refine and expand their skills and knowledge,” she added.
With an aim to ensure all round success and happiness for children, Masterminds Education will continue to recruit highly qualified class teachers and language support teachers for the new classes, who then undergo an extensive Masterminds training program
“These early days are a time of remarkable growth, when children are experiencing rapid development, learning new skills and progressing steadily toward physical, linguistic, and social-emotional milestones. When I first started doing the programmes with my daughter, I personally witnessed the extraordinary results of these programs over the years. All the development and coordination that had resulted from her physical and even intellectual and music programs was cascading into entirely new areas when she started exploring new skills. Since then, I have continued to see how her development in one area has influenced development in many other areas, including skills in activities that she had never done before, along with her confidence and social development,” concluded Tania.
