National Media Council (NMC )discusses the media arrangements for World Economic Forum Summit


To ascertain the media role in World Economic Forum?s 2011 Summit on the Global Agenda

World Economic Forum?s 2011 Summit on the Global Agenda, to be held from October 10-11, 2011, is an annual global brainstorming session that brings together the World Economic Forum?s Network of Global Agenda Councils. The council addresses over 70 areas that affect economy, and comprise of most relevant experts from academia, business, civil society, and government members.

Over 700 participants will engage in interactive workshops and sessions and plenary sessions to provide comprehensive insight into the global, regional and industry agendas. Participants will identify key trends, risks, unmet opportunities, and possible solutions to current global challenges.

Role of National Media Council (NMC)

NMC?s officials discussed the media arrangements for this event. The discussions focused on the need to provide support and logistics services to the international, regional, and local media. Lucy Jay-Kennedy, senior media manager of the World Economic Forum summit, visited the NMC as a part of planning and stated NMC?s role is in supporting this economic event by highlighting it on the international level through coordination with various media.
