Nintendo is the latest company to suffer an online security breach due to an attack by hackers, Lulz Security. The company confirmed that its US unit?s website has been hacked but the company or customer information has not been compromised. Lulz Security is the same group that attacked the websites of Sony over the past few weeks.
Lulz Security published a ?server configuration file? purportedly from the Nintendo secure server on the Internet. But Lulz Security said it was not targeting Nintendo and hopes the company is able to bridge the gap created, over a twitter comment.
A spokesman from Nintendo said, ?We are always working to make sure our systems are secure.?
Nintendo?s cyber attacks came in time when the company was due to launch its new online service this week at E3- the annual video games conference in Los Angeles.
