CREATIVE INDUSTRY FIRST: DUBAI TO GET A TASTE OF FLUX INNOVATION
Engage Works and StartJG unite to launch Dubai’s first ever tech innovation lounge
Interactive technology group Engage Works and strategic brand design agency StartJG bring the Flux Innovation Lounge to the Middle East
Engage Works and StartJG have today announced they are teaming up to bring one of London’s most celebrated creative spaces to Dubai. The Flux Innovation Lounge is designed to inspire leading creative minds – brands and agencies alike – through an evolving showcase of the world’s best emerging interactive technology.
Following incredible success in London, the launch of a Middle Eastern Flux Innovation Lounge will bring the latest technologies and ideas to the heart of Dubai’s Media City for the first time. Drawing on multiple technologies – from virtual reality to advanced robotics – the showcase will replicate the success of its London counterpart in bringing “the art of the possible” to life.
Flux Innovation Lounge, to launch in the Arenco Tower in October 2015, is a unique space where visitors can experience how interactive technology can enhance communication experiences for today’s biggest brands. It is built to drive insights and knowledge, to stimulate invention and to expose for the first time how the latest high-tech can affect all businesses and our working lives today and in the future. The venue will also play host to workshops and guest speaker sessions, allowing attendees to learn from today’s leading minds.
Steve Blyth, founder and CEO of Engage Works, commented: “Flux Innovation Lounge has had a phenomenal response in London and brands are increasingly recognising the power of technology as an enabler to better connect and engage with their employees and customers. From robots to augmented reality, Flux Innovation Lounge showcases the most innovative solutions the industry can offer. We’re delighted to be working with StartJG to bring the lounge to a new market and show brands how they can capitalise on the art of the possible.”
Mike Curtis, CEO of StartJG added: “Dubai is a destination for some of the most dynamic retail businesses in the world. It also has a budding creative community, open to new and immersive ways to engage consumers. The growing appetite for engaging brand experiences makes Dubai a natural home for Flux Innovation Lounge. Being heralded as the second most important global international shopping destination for the fourth consecutive year, makes Dubai a priority market in the field of innovative consumer interaction. Flux Innovation Lounge will help to showcase the potential for technology and demonstrate how brands can produce disruptive experiences, further cementing Dubai’s reputation for attracting shoppers and businesses from around the globe.”
Technology partners taking space at Flux Innovation Lounge Dubai, include Dare to DIFR, AMPP, Awedience, Signal Noise, Soluis, Zappar, Frozen Fish, Hatton Associates, JR Scenic, Philips, Pyramid, Projection Artworks, Pavegen LIVE, Stereoscape, Sensum, Pipers, Poken and Novalia.
UKTI London International Trade Adviser Deborah Lynch-Doyle commented: “I am delighted to see the launch of Flux Innovation Lounge in Dubai Media City, having worked with Engage Works for six months. The Flux Innovation Lounge is an inspirational thought-leadership space which benefits by collaboration with major technology providers. It is great to see a strong British company succeed.”
The Flux Innovation Lounge will be held within StartJG’s Dubai offices and will be open for tours, workshops, networking and small scale events. To register your interest to attend, for more information or to speak with StartJG or Engage Works regarding the launch, please contact [email protected].
