Alain Robert, the one and only Spiderman will be climbing Cayan Tower tonight in a death defying and breathtaking performance.
Spiderman will attempt to climb the Cayan Tower, the tallest twisted tower in the world, to reach the top floor with no harnesses, support or safety ropes.
Cayan Tower, known as Infinity Tower prior to its inauguration, is a 306 metres (1,004 ft), 80 story skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by Saudi-based Cayan Real Estate Investment and Development. The tower is designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill SOM architectural group, the same group who did the concept design for the Burj Khalifa also in Dubai and Trump Tower in Chicago. Upon its opening on 10 June 2013, the tower has become world’s tallest high rise building with a twist of 90 degrees.
The firm is now planning to launch a new residential and serviced apartment project in the Umm Suqeim area and will hold the launch event today at Grosvenor House in Dubai Marina, which overlooks Cayan Tower.
Cayan Group chairman Ahmed Alhatti said: “An exciting announcement such as this one needed to be done amidst a thrilling event and thus we have in store for our guests an electrifying record-breaking climb by Alain Robert. I would like to wish him the very best of luck for his death-defying feat.”

Robert, 52, said: “I have had my eyes set on this gigantic building ever since it achieved its record-breaking status and I am excited about climbing the tower. I look forward to adding Cayan Tower to my list of conquests.”
Spiderman will be provided with water and supplies required for him to proceed with the climb. The climb is to start at 8pm UAE time and he expects to reach the summit of the tower in 90 minutes.
The weather forecast for Sunday in Dubai is hot and humid with temperatures set to rise to 40 degree centigrade (104F), which could make things a little difficult for the Spiderman.
The best place to have the perfect view of the climb will be from the Marina, the side of Grosvenor House.
So, will you be there to witness the incredible climb tonight?
