Etihad Airways has announced the launch of a new global brand advertising campaign that will soon storm the regional and international TV, print, outdoor, and digital media advertising space.
Themed “The World Is Our Home, You Are Our Guest”, this is the airline’s first major campaign in three years. The advertising campaign will reflect the global ambitions of the Abu Dhabi-based carrier, its success story and how it draws inspiration from around the world to provide world-class services that are reshaping the aviation industry.
The concept for the splashy TV commercial has been created by M&C Saatchi, while production was done by Rogue Films in London. It was filmed in Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Prague and Sydney between mid-December and mid-January. Bobby Darin’s 1967 classic soundtrack, “Beautiful Things”, has been used in the background of commercial.
The commercial, along with a series of double page print spreads, will be released in the UAE on March 3 and then across the world on March 4. The ad campaign will also be launched in Australia, China, Germany, India, Japan, UK, USA, UAE and Nigeria. The commercial will focus on the wide network of Etihad Airways and the superior quality of its onboard services. The new global ad campaign underlines the confidence and enthusiasm of Etihad’s management in its future.
Showing excitement about the launch, Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ chief commercial officer, commented that “this is our first brand advertising in many years. Having focused on product innovation and service excellence, the time is now right to make a bold and confident brand statement to the world. This is not a rebranding exercise, but a continuation of our brand story drawing from the values of our home in Abu Dhabi and our inspiration from around the world.”
