The Palace Hotel Turizm Hizmetleri AS and the Steigenberger Hotel Group join hands to for a new hotel in Istanbul.

The 5-star hotel is on the European side of the city in the Maslak district, one of Istanbul’s major business centres. Located in the vicinity of Istinye, Sişli and Besiktas, the target segment is both business and leisure travellers.

With 305 rooms, including 23 suites, a gym and spa facility, it might soon pick up.

“Istanbul occupies a favourable strategic location between two continents that are the focus of our expansion – Europe and Asia,” commented Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG. “We are creating genuine added value for visitors to Turkey by exporting German excellence in service.”

The contractual partner in the franchise agreement with Steigenberger Hotel Group is Palace Hotel Turizm Hizmetleri AS. CEO Oguz Serim stated: “We are very excited to be a member of Steigenberger Hotel Group. Our experienced team will serve Steigenberger guests from all over the world with the famous Turkish hospitality.”

Steigenberger Hotels AG is one of Europe’s leading hotel companies. From its Head Office in Germany, the Steigenberger Group operates 109 hotels on three continents including 17 properties which are under construction or at the planning stage.

Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts includes some of the most prestigious hotels in Europe, such as the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof and the Steigenberger Parkhotel in Düsseldorf. InterCityHotel is a medium-price brand that offers 38 hotels located in city centres and at airports. “Jaz in the City” is a new creative concept that will be launched in Amsterdam in September 2015.
