With EURO 2012 just around the corner, UEFA have announced that the last remaining hospitality packages for fans in the UAE and wider Middle East are only available through the UEFA Club Prestige corporate hospitality programme. The packages are available for everyone, and provide a particularly attractive option to those looking to combine business and pleasure while at the European Championships.
UEFA EURO 2012 matches will be played in eight stadiums, four in Poland – Gdansk, Poznan, Warsaw, Wroclaw – and four in Ukraine – Donetsk, Lviv, Kharkiv and Kyiv. The opening match will take place in Warsaw on 8th June and the final on 1st July in Kyiv; no fewer than 1.4 million fans are expected to be at the stadiums, with the matches due to be broadcast live in more than 200 territories around the world.
Standard tickets have been sold directly by UEFA via its website, or were distributed by the football associations of the 16 finalists. Applications had to be made in March 2011 for the 1.4 million tickets available for the 31 tournament matches andover 12 million applications were received, representing a 17% increase on the 2008 finals, and an all-time record for the UEFA European Championships.Owing to this over-subscription for the matches, lotteries were carried out to allocate tickets.
The format of four groups of four teams will be used for the last time in this tournament; the competition format will change for the next edition in 2016 as the line-up of participants competing in the final tournament will be increased to 24.
Throughout the tournament, out of a total number of 1.4 million tickets available for the matches in Poland and the Ukraine, only about 60,000 places are reserved for the exclusive and prestigious UEFA Hospitality programme.
Within the Club Prestige program, fans have the opportunity to choose between Platinum and Gold- Club Prestige Platinum gives access to a private skybox, while Club Prestige Gold allows access to an open hospitality business lounge. Additional entertainment awaits fans prior to the matches, including live music and interactive games, along with a selection of delicacies, local and international cuisines among the other benefits included in these packages.
