I took the train route, from Zurich, and even with three change-overs I thoroughly enjoyed the journey with the most picturesque landscape that I’ve ever seen in my life.
Before my visit, while checking for resorts to stay in Gstaad, I ran into Ultima. At that time it looked pretty ordinary. But after an unforgettable holiday last month, I can tell you that the photos do no justice at all to that one of a kind resort. As I had pre-informed the hotel staff about my love for sea food, I was served with the best sea food money could buy. If the smoked salmon for breakfast tasted awesomely fresh and melted in my mouth, the Sole fish topped with butter served for dinner was undoubtedly one of the best grilled fish I ever had in my life.
Duchessa Restaurant, as well as the three unique bars -the lobby bar, detox bar shisha bar- offers wonderful spaces to chillax and savour life, bit slower.
I found the service at Duchessa great with waiters available anytime on call, nevertheless without too much of intrusion.

The spa offers an indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi with a cozy atmosphere. I had one of the best relaxing back massages in my life, thanks to the magical hands of Mr. Stephen!
