The US employment growth rates have slowed down lat month. This comes in light when it was recorded that only 54,000 new jobs were added in the country; whereas the expected was 150,000. This follows a downwardly fall from the 232,000 increase in April. This is the eighth month in row to record a positive employment growth rate.
President Obama commented that the country is still facing tough times and has acknowledged that the economy is growing. “There’s nobody here who doesn’t know someone who’s looking for work and hasn’t found something yet,” he said.
The President added: “There are always going to be bumps on the road to recovery,” also citing high fuel prices, the economic problems that followed the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, and instability in the Middle East.
