Dubai Motor Show 2013 – Leading Brands to Showcase Fastest and Most Exotic Cars at Region’s Most Important Automotive Show
High octane, adrenaline-fuelled and horsepower driven, the world’s greatest one-of-a-kind supercars are set to draw record crowds as they touch down at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show.
In celebration of power and speed, the supercar segment forms a key part of the region’s biggest and most influential motoring event. Running from 5 – 9 November 2013 at Dubai World Trade Centre, the Dubai International Motor Show 2013 is attended by motoring enthusiasts from around the world to witness the latest global and regional launches of more than 90 internationally recognised automotive brands. These include some of the fastest, most powerful and exotic cars in the world.
Held every two years, the Dubai International Motor Show is the anchor event in the newly announced Dubai Motor Festival.

Participating for the first time in the Middle East, Spanish supercar manufacturer Spania GTA has chosen the Dubai event for the regional premiere of the GTA Spano. A very rare breed with only 99 models produced, this Spanish heavyweight features a 900hp V10 engine and 1000Nm electronically limited torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 Km/h in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of over 350 km/h, while the chassis has been formed by combining carbon fibres, titanium and Kevlar, which is five times stronger than the same weight of steel, with a total weight of only 1350 kg.

The leading American tuning company, Hennessey, will be showcasing a wide range of supercars including Hennessey Venom GT. Weighing in at 2685-lb and with a brake horse power of 1244, the Venom holds the Guinness World Record for production-car acceleration – 0-300 km/h in 13.63 seconds – making it the fastest road car on the planet.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary at the show this year is Supercar McLaren. Definite super car showstoppers can be found on the Bentley stand this year, with the global debut of the limited edition Bentley Muslanne Shaheen, created specifically for the Middle East, and the new Flying Spur which is the fastest road-going luxury sedan in the world. Powered by Bentley’s renowned 6.0-litre, twin turbo W12 engine to develop 625 PS, the car speeds from 0-100km/h in just 4.6 seconds.
The new Bentley model, with its unrivalled blend of effortless drivability, exquisite luxury and craftsmanship, sculpted design and state-of-the-art technology, will build on the worldwide success of its iconic predecessor. Also joining these two models are the latest additions to the GT range, the Bentley Continental GT Speed and the Continental GT Speed Convertible; which is the fastest four-seat convertible in the world.
Lebanese carmaker W Motors has confirmed plans to launch its first supercar, the Lykan HyperSport at the Dubai International Motor Show. Dubbed the Ferrari of the Arab World, the Lykan HyperSport will be the most luxurious, exclusive and technologically advanced hyper car in the world. The supercar is powered by a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with 750-horsepower positioned behind the driver, allowing for a 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 395km/h (245mph).

Making its world debut at the Dubai International Motor Show is the Zenvo ST1, the exclusive handmade supercar by Danish carmaker Zenvo. The stunning supercar has a powerful engine with 1104 hp and accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in only 3.0 seconds, with a turbocharged and supercharged 7-litre V8 engine that was built in-house produces 1430Nm of torque. To maintain exclusivity of Zenvo ownership, the manufacturer made a promise to build only 15 Zenvo ST1, two of which are already sold.
Two additional events will be launched during the Dubai Motor Festival, complementing the Dubai International Motor Show: the Red Bull Middle East Car Park Drift Championships, which will test the nerves and skill of some of the region’s top drivers, and the Dubai Car Parade which will see the streets of Dubai come alive with hundreds of luxury, sports and classic cars led by the Dubai Police fleet of high performance cars.
