Dubai branch of global restaurant brand achieves recognition in prestigious US publication

DIFC, Dubai, UAE: 14 October 2012 ZUMA Dubai, the multi-award winning restaurant, lounge and bar concept is making waves globally through its listing in the prestigious ‘101 Places Every Traveller Should Know Now’ round up in Travel + Leisure magazine.

Travel + Leisure is one of the best-respected leisure travel publications in the world, part of the American Express publishing house.  The ‘101 Places’ list is an annual round up of the cities that are defining the travel itinerary right now, as selected by a global network of correspondents, tastemakers and thought leaders.  Dubai is ranked at #44, with Zuma Dubai named as the restaurant of choice for travellers to try whilst staying in the city.

This recognition further builds on Zuma Dubai’s growing body of international awards, following its placement at #83 in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in May 2012.  In July, Zuma’s head bartender, Jimmy Barrat, took second place in the Diageo Reserve World Class Awards.  Such accolades are instrumental in driving the Zuma brand forward, ensuring the concept stays fresh and innovative at a time when the team is eyeing expansion in the Middle East.

All of ZUMA’s management and chefs are extensively trained in London before working in ZUMA’s international locations. The Dubai venture was the fourth site to open in the Group’s expansion plan, the most recent sites being Miami in 2010 and Bangkok in 2011. Over the next few years, Zuma will be looking to continue opening new restaurants in some of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities.
